Counties Power Construction is the in-house contractor for one of the fastest growing and most reliable lines companies in New Zealand. We are involved in projects for our parent company as well as projects for other companies in the region.

If you work in the electricity line construction industry then this is your chance to enjoy a change and be involved in a variety of interesting projects locally and overseas.

Business is good and our current growth means we are looking for a variety of different skills such as line-mechanics, team leaders, electricians and cable jointers. We are also offering a chance for young engineering graduates to broaden their skills by training in project management.

A New Zealand practicing licence is required for Line Mechanics and Electricians.

PROJECT MANAGER

This key role has become available in our contracting division, Counties Power Construction.

Counties Power Construction is enjoying a period of growth and plans are in place to ensure this continues. We require someone who will effectively scope, price and manage projects bringing them in safely, on time and on budget.

The successful applicant will understand that good outcomes are achieved by teams that are empowered, trained, and know how to work safely. A project manager is a key player in ensuring that happens.

There is some leeway in the final scope of the role which will depend on the qualities and abilities of the successful applicant. At the very least you should have 5 years experience in Overhead and Underground construction projects, at least two years of which have been spent in a leadership role involving administrative work. You should also have an appropriate trade qualification. Ideally you will be able to show you have management experience, are a strategic thinker with a good background knowledge of our industry. All applicants will need to show reasonable knowledge of appropriate microsoft applications.

Salary will depend on the final scope of the role but will include a company vehicle.
